Sundarban is situated in the southwest corner of Bangladesh. This forest is located near Khulna and 320 km. West of Dhaka. Khulna serves as the gateway to the Sundarbans it covers an area 5770 sq. km. and the home of Royal Bengal Tiger. Khulna is connected to the rest of the country by Road River and railway and by air via Jessore.
The Sundarbans is the largest mangrove forest of the world. Cress-crossing creeks and canals creeping around ten thousand islets swell and sink with the tide in the Bay. The cluster of isles, the water-bodies end mangroves together support an eco-system at once unique and agile with the result that the Sundarbans has developed into a treasure forest of biodiversity. Sundarban is home to 80% of reptiles, 40% of mammal’s species and about 50% of all birds species of Bangladesh (THE WORLD HERITAGE SITES). Globally, 35 mangrove plants species have been spotted 14 of which are found in the Sundarbans. UNESCO has designated the Sundarbans as a world heritage property.

Attraction: The attraction of the Sundarbans are varied and many. It is the world’s largest mangrove formation on the Bay of Bengal. Wild unspoiled and unpolluted beaches are scattered here and there along the borderline on the Bay. The flora of the Sundarbans include Sundari, Keora, Gewa, Golpata (round leaf), Goran and Passur. The fauna can boast the legendary Royal Bengal Tiger, spoted deer, squirrel, rhesus monkey, barking deer, wild boar, dolphin etc. Of the reptile species there are the estuarine crocodiles, pythons, lizards, flap-shelled spoted turtles and green turtles. The dazzling paradise – the Sundarbans is a wonderland for bird watching as well.

Meet the nomadic fisherman-woodcutter-honey collectors, who are still on their primitive live style and culture. Rare birds commonly seen: Masked fin foot, Adjutant stork, White bellied Sea Eagle, Kite Kingfisher, Waders & Shore birds.

Tour Itinerary 
Day 01: Arrive Dhaka airport and transfer to hotel. If time permits half day city tour to Sadarghat River front, old Hindu temples, Lalbag Fort of Mughal Empire, Museum, Shahid Minar, Curzon Hall and the huge Parliament Building the finest architectural wonder of Louis I. Kahn. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02: After breakfast leave Dhaka in the early Morning start by Air/Road for Khulna via Jessore Airport. Arrival at Khulna and will be transferred to our boat. The boat will immediately start cruising towards the Sundarbans forest, en-route collecting permit from the Daingmari forest stations.                 

Day 03: On this day, we will offer different activities at around Katka & Kochikhali, like walking into the forest, sitting on the watch tower to have a look the wildlife, going into the beach for swimming or sports. Birds watching trip in the evening by a country boat. Overnight on boat.

Day 04: Early in the morning we shall offer through small creeks and canals by country boat to see the wildlife and feel the forest from very close. After breakfast jungle walk, etc will be offered. At around 12:00hrs start cruising towards Kochikhali wildlife sanctuary, upon arrival Jungle walk near forest office. Overnight on the boat at Kachikhal. Early morning back to Khulna.

Day 05: Early morning breakfast Leave Khulna via Jessor airport for domestic flight to Dhaka. Arrival Dhaka free and shoppind. Transfer to hotel and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 06: Free for shopping. Departure transfer to airport for onward destination. End of the tour.
